Objective: Launch Furmint February in the UK on behalf of Wines of Hungary
How we did it: We alerted the trade press to encourage the trade to get involved and hosted a tasting of over 90 Furmint wines for trade and press to kick off Furmint February. We engaged with consumer press to encourage consumers to join in the campaign on social media for a chance to win a case of Furmint wine.
Coverage – Secured coverage in all of the main drinks trade titles about the initiative in the run up to the tasting, and post event coverage and wine recommendations in a wide variety of titles including The Saturday Times, Foodism, The Guardian, JancisRobinson.com and Scottish Field.
Attendees – 30 media attended the London tasting, which drove a real buzz on social media.
Awards – Awarded Special Commendation in Trade Campaign of the Year by The Drinks Business.
